I have realized this week that my attitude towards everyday
life and common struggles are a direct result of how
successful I will be. For example, this past week it has
been around 75 degrees and cloudy...not much of a summer.
Last night my toilet started leaking and flooded my
bathroom. Now I will have to replace all of the new tile
that I just installed in the bathroom. And to top it all
off my truck is making a grinding sound and seems to tilt
to one side a little.

Now, all of these things could really get me down, but I
decided not to let that happen. Since it is cloudy outside,
I will take that opportunity to work inside re-tiling my
bathroom. Since I still have some extra tile left over,
that will save me some money, which I can use to get my
truck fixed. Problems solved!

I will also apply this same attitude towards my internet
advertising. My website is not getting as much traffic as
I would like. So instead of doing nothing, or trying the
same old things, I am going to try something new. Maybe
place some targeted ezine ads or I may try some targeted
banner ads. Whatever I do, I will not just give up. I
will make the best of the situation and keep moving
forward!

Interview With Gauher Chaudhry

1. Please tell us about yourself.

My name is Gauher Chaudhry and am 29 years old, married, and
live just outside of Toronto. I am actually a an Internet
marketer trapped in the body of a professional accountant.

2. How would you descibe your personality?

I would probably describe myself as entrepreneurial in
nature with a lot of ambition. I am the type of person who
does not want to work for someone else for the rest of my
life. I would probably say that I am a big dreamer, but then
again, all successful people were big dreamers at one time.
If you don't dream big, you will never reach your goals.

3. How did you become interested in the internet and when
did you first "go online"?

I first become interested in the Internet in 1997 and
actually started my own ezine in August 1997 and have been
publishing since. What fascinated me about the Internet was
the instant communication and opportunity for ecommerce.

4. What businesses/websites do you currently operate on the
internet?

Actually my business has grown so much that I have
incorporated into a company that currently operates the
following web sites:

EZMoneyWithEzines.com - A sales page for my ebook "EZ Money

All these web sites produce multiple income streams.

5. What inspired you or made you decide to start your
current online business/website?

What inspired me to start online was the opportunity that
the Internet presented. You could literally sell anything
you want to anyone you wanted in the world. If you set up
a local shop in your neighbour, your customers might be
only within a 5 mile radius, but with an online shop, you
have the whole world at your doorstep (i.e. web site).

6. What is one of the biggest mistakes and/or blunders you
have made while marketing online, and what did you learn
from it?

Trying to do to many things at the same time without a clear
focus. It is always better to do one thing at a time and
dedicate all your efforts into that one project to get good
results. If you try to do too many things, you will only be
able to put a half-hearted effort in each project.

7. What percent of your income is made from online sales?

Everything the company generates is 100% online.

8. What are your most successful means of advertising?

I would probably say that the most successful means of
advertising are ezine solo ads and pay-per-click search
engines. But the best method of advertising is having your
own ezine or in-house customer list that you can constantly
promote your new products or services to over and over
again. That is the *key* to online success.

9. Do you have any advertising tips or secrets you would
like to share with our readers?

Yes, you need to have your own in-house list or ezine. By
taking the time to nurture and gain the trust of your
readers, you will find it very easy to sell products or
service those people. There is too much skepticism on the
Internet, which makes sense with all the scams flying around
on the Internet.

If you don't have time to run a list, create an
autoresponder course that offers something of value. At the
end of the course, you can pitch your sales letter to the
reader who you have now developed a
relationship with.

Don't insult peoples' intelligence with hyped up ads. People
don't fall for the "Make $100,000 in 90 days" claims on the
Internet.

Be honest and real and you will see results.

10. What do you like most about being online?

The thrill of building a business. It is nice to receive
orders from people all over the world. From Japan to Swedan,
I think I have received orders from every continent except
Antarctica.

The friendships I have made with other Internet marketers
have been great and have provided me with a vast array of
new knowledge and experiences.

11. What are your goals for 2003?

I have a book being published based on the content from
Amusingfacts.com coming out in September 2003 titled
"Coconuts Kill." I hope to heavily promote this book and
make it a #1 seller on Amazon. I am also coming out with a
large Internet marketing project at

that I hope to launch by mid-June 2003.

12. What advice would you give to someone trying to start
their own online business?

Don't give up. Don't listen to people that say that you
cannot make money on the Internet. I am living proof that
you can build a business on the Internet.

Learn, learn and learn. Don't think you know everything and
seek expert advice. Learn from others who have made the
mistakes and finally found the right path.

Don't work hard, work smart.
