Are there times when you are feeling that life has just got
you down? I've been experiencing that the last couple of
weeks. But that has not stopped me from moving forward. I
may only be taking baby steps right now, but I'm still
moving forward. So, how have I been doing it? Positive Self
Affirmation! Not only can you apply this to your personal
life, but you can apply the same techniques to your business
life. Every morning say something positive about yourself.
Make a list of "I Am" statements. Take out a piece of paper
and write down "I am...." and fill in the blank with only
positive attributes and qualities about yourself. Keep the
list handy and read it to yourself when you are feeling down.
Instead of making a whole list of things you want to
accomplish, write down one goal that you want to accomplish
that day and make sure that you do it. After awhile, you can
add more goals, but start slow. Give yourself the chance to
experience success before you move on.
Once you start applying some of these techniques to your
life on a daily basis, it will become second nature to you.

Interview With Terri Seymour

1. Please tell us about yourself.

My name is Terri Seymour and I have been married for 21 years.
I live in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin and have two
boys, Jesse 18 and Dustin 11. We enjoy outdoor activities such
as camping, hiking, fishing, golf and more.


2. How would you describe your personality?

I would describe myself as quietly strong and capable. I am
also intelligent, organized, courteous and understanding. I
believe in the old fashioned values of family, friends and
treating others with respect!


3. How did you become interested in the internet and when did
you first "go online"?

We got our computer about 6 years ago and I did not want to
have anything to do with it at first. But slowly I got used
to it and then started my first site which was a craft and
gift site.


4. What businesses/websites do you currently operate on the
internet?

I operate My Own Ezine at

5. What inspired you or made you decide to start your current
online business/website?

I was with a very reputable MLM company, but was limited to how
much I could actually help others with an online business,
which is what I really wanted to do. So I then quit the MLM
to start my very own business in which I was in control and
could help others without any limits or restrictions.


6. What is one of the biggest mistakes and/or blunders you have
made while marketing online, and what did you learn from it?

I cannot think of one specific mistake but I have made some of
the usual mistakes made by newcomers. We all have to learn as
we go and I was no different. ;-)


7. What percent of your income is made from online sales?

100%


8. What are your most successful means of advertising?

My most powerful advertising comes from my articles. I have
written about 75 successful articles which are spread all over
the Internet. Also, word of mouth has helped me a lot.


9. Do you have any advertising tips or secrets you would like
to share with our readers?

Do not only advertise, but network and help people while you
are doing it. Offer advice, help or assistance whenever you
can.


10. What do you like most about being online?

Meeting people from all over the world and also helping others.
When I get an email saying that my work has inspired someone to
start their own business or ezine it is immensely rewarding and
satisfying.


11. What are your goals for 2003?

For MOE to help many more people and to become even more
successful.


12. What advice would you give to someone trying to start their
own online business?

Be prepared to put in the time and work and commitment to build
a business. Do not think all you have to do is slap up a
website and you have it made. You will need passion,
determination and persistence to get through the frustrations,
obstacles and slow times.
