I have some very important news for you today. As some of
you know, I have another website at
http://www.onlinewebcreations.com
My first love is designing web graphics. As a result, I
have not had the time to focus my energy to this ezine.

Luckily for you, I have found an excellent replacement. Kim
Thomas is now the Owner of the Advertising Exposure Directory,
as well as Advertising Exposure News. I think you will be
pleasantly surprised. Kim has the same values and integrity
as I do. I interviewed Kim for this issue so you can get to
know her and find out more about her.

I wish all of you happiness and success on the internet.

Interview With Kim Thomas
By Elizabeth Sinclair

1. Please tell us about yourself.

My name is Kim Thomas, I am married and currently I live in
Hollywood Florida. My husband, Steve Thomas and I have been
married for almost 7 years and we have 5 dogs as our pets.
They are Shin, Fuji, Miso, Nono and Akido. Nono is Shin’s
boyfriend and he was a very bad dog growing up so his name
graduated from Hypno to Nono in 2 months.

2. How would you describe your personality?

I am very passionate about my work and driven to succeed. I
also love to help others find success.

3. How did you become interested in the Internet and when
did you first "go online"?

I became interested in the Internet as early as 7 years ago
but I did not really do anything about it but occasionally
surfing on the net. Early this year around March 2003 a
colleague of mine was having a refund problem with
Freeadguru and he almost lost $97.00 that he invested in
purchasing this product. I felt compel to create a service
where I would personally write reviews for new products
coming out on the market.

As both you and I know some of Internet sales page are very
well written and quite compelling. However, the real
product can be really bad sometimes. I set out to write
reviews for as many products I can put my hands on to
accomplish my goal. My purpose is to give readers
informative facts on popular products before they buy them.
Hard hitting no hold barred facts they really need to make
intelligent decision.

I am very passionate about this cause.

My review is authentic and very detailed. There is no
amount of money in this world is big enough to buy my
review. I cannot be bought.

Thus, Kim Thomas Dot Com was born on March 27th, 2003.

You can read current reviews as well as those archived at

4. What businesses/websites do you currently operate on the
Internet?

I currently own and operate Kim Thomas Dot Com in addition
to working with 3 others marketing newbies on our quest for
success. We are attempting to make money via affiliate
programs as well as promoting our own products.

5. What inspired you or made you decide to start your
current online business/website?

I want to work at home .. I am happy with my current
employer but so far but they only want me to work out of
their office. I also want to spend more time with my
husband and my dogs. Plus I want to make an obscene amount
of money on the web. I just know it’s possible and now I am
determined to set out and prove it to myself.

6. What is one of the biggest mistakes and/or blunders you
have made while marketing online, and what did you learn
from it?

The biggest mistake I’ve learned is to NOT to release any
product w/o first testing the market. Secondly, a software
product must have a very good manual. A video training may
even be required for more detailed training.

My market is mostly consisted of Internet Marketers many of
whom may not have had the benefit of the programming
background as I have. Therefore, for any future attempt to
release such software I will need to devote more time to
developing detailed users manual and video training.

7. What percent of your income is made from online sales?

It’s too early to tell right now since I’ve just began
actively pursuing selling products on the Internet about 2
months ago. As of right now, expenses are far exceeding the
income.

8. What are your most successful means of advertising?

My most successful mean of advertising, right now, is
strictly on getting FREE traffic from the search engines.
I’ve not yet paid for any classified ads or ezines
advertisements. However, I plan to write articles and
submit to ezines publishers to promote my site and/or my
products in the future. I also plan to joint up with
publishers that are in the areas of the products I try to
promote.

I am fascinated with the search engines rankings and
positioning. I love Google because it allows me to submit
my pages without paying a fee. Because of this, I am
allowed to test my theory and found the optimum method for
ranking high without shelling out much cash up front.

I do not strive to rank only on the #1 position. I feel I
would be doing just great if my keywords were ranked in the
first 3 pages in its relatively short period of time.

9. Do you have any advertising tips or secrets you would
like to share with our readers?

Writing a great headline is my weapon, my big gun so to
speak. I just love headlines creator pro software. It helps
me write killer headlines w/o even breaking a sweat. I
include a link here for your convenience when you decide to
grab one, you can’t succeed with your sales copy without
its help. http://www.kim-thomas.com/headlines.php

10. What do you like most about being online?

I love being on line because I want to make money without
the hassle of having a physical store, with staff plus
inventory and overhead plus other headaches.

11. What are your goals for 2003?

My goal is to make a 7 figure income selling affiliate
programs as well as my own products online. The anticipated
dead line for this goal is set for Sept 2004. I plan to
promote between 100-500 affiliate programs with the help of
Sitemap Automation Software.

As I see it, without Sitemap Automation Software this
goal would not be possible. Sitemap automates all of my web
page creations by inserting keywords, to cloaking affiliate
URL to create popups and pop under automatically and they
are 100 percent optimized to the best of my knowledge at
the time of this writing. *Search engines change their
algorithm slightly from day to day.

12. What advice would you give to someone trying to start
his or her own online business?

First get your mindset on never quit, and then follow
this plan.

1- Create a product of your own or you can also choose an
affiliate program or product that you’d like to promote.

2-Write your own sales page (the original has been played out
and will only give you minimal results).

3- Write 5-7 auto responders whose main purpose is to
convince a reluctant buyer into becoming a buyer.

4- Insert pop-unders to capture visitors email addresses.

5- Give tons of gifts in exchange for this email address.
You need to get this email address from them right now
while they are at your site. Who knows when they will be
back and when they will decide to purchase. Once they’ve
left you never see them again. At least now you have
their email addresses so you can pursue them.

6- Buy a domain name with keywords as domain name
(if possible). For example, if you want to sell
widgets and your keyword is "lowest price widgets" then
your domain is preferably http://www.lowestpricewidgets.com

7- Set up your auto responders.

8- Make sure your pages are optimized with the
right keywords in the right places.  Do not submit at this time.

9- Visit forums and leave that URL with each answer you give.
 Try these two:

http://www.howtocorp.com/forum
or
http://www.ablake.com/forum.

Try to visit at least one forum once a day for 2 weeks.

10- Check your log daily to see if you get indexed.

11- If after 2 weeks you still don’t get indexed submit
your site to Google.  Submit only the top page.

12- If after 2 weeks you still don’t get any traffic, time
to pay a little more money. Open an account at Overture or
Google ad words for pay per click. Only bid at 0.01 - .05
cents max per key word.

13- If you still don’t get traffic, write me. Your
pages are probably not optimized or you are using the wrong
key words.

14- If you get traffic, let’s say 100 per day
and get no sales, your sales page may need to be rewritten.

15- Now this is a tricky part - after you rewrite your
sales page, you need to resubmit it again. But, make sure
you wait at least 2 weeks before each new submission.

16- Repeat this same process until you get sales.

17- After you get sales, write to ezines owners and
suggest joint ventures with them. Just give them
your product FREE of charge and request that they
write you if they want to promote your product to
their list. Do not ask them to sign up by directing
them to the sign up page. Sign up for them
and then send them the link with instructions.

18- Write to others preferably famous online marketers that
you know and request joint ventures. Just do it. Don’t be
afraid, they are just people like you or I. The worst is
they say no, so no big lost here. Remember you can only
joint venture with products that you created or own sole
rights too. So it really pays to create your own product.
Michael Green has this great ezines list with names, and
email address for about 600 ezines owners that he has
personally used. This list is priced at $47.00. It’s worth
it.
