Norm Williams interviewed me for his ezine, BIG
MONEY PUBLISHING. I thought I would share his
interview with you so you can get to know who I am
and where I came from.

Interview With Elizabeth Sinclair By Norm Williams

Q - Can you tell me about your business
background?

A - Hopefully your readers will find it refreshing
to hear that I do not have a business background.
During the day, I work full-time as a social
worker. During the evenings and on the weekends I
work on the internet. I certainly have acquired
business knowledge over the years, primarily by
actively reading newsgroup posts, ebooks and
articles.

Q - As a person on the Internet, how did you get
started?

A - I actually first started out on the internet
with Webtv. I had no computer or internet
knowledge at that time. I devoured every piece of
information I could. I taught myself how to write
html, design webpages, search engine optimization
and more. I created a very popular search engine
and directory for Webtv users. I knew I had
something going for myself when I was approached
by a business person and sold my search engine and
directory for $3,000.00. That was in 1996. I soon
outgrew the limitations of webtv and bought my
first computer in 1997.

Q - How long have you been in business online?

A - I guess I would have to say I really was "in
business" in 1996 when I sold my first website.
Shortly after getting my own computer, I created
another website which focussed on Website
Promotion, along with a newsletter for this
website. The newsletter was very successful and my
advertising space would be sold out months in
advance. I sold the website and newsletter about
two years ago.

Q - What online businesses you are involved with?

A - I currently have four of my own online
businesses that I am currently involved in. About
1 year ago, I started a web creation website,
Online Web Creations at
http://www.onlinewebcreations.com I offer all
original graphics that I make. People can
download free ebook covers, banner blanks, award
templates and ezine covers. For a very small fee I
make customized graphics. I love creating
graphics, so this is my favorite site. I am also
currently selling an ebook I created called
Classified Ads Promotion Ebook at
http://www.classified-promotion.com The ebook
comes with complete resell rights. And finally, I
just launched a brand new directory and
newsletter called Advertising Exposure at
http://www.advertising-exposure.com This website
and newsletter focus on high quality internet
advertising which is free or low in cost.

Q - How did you learn what it takes to succeed?

A - Trail and error. I probably gain the most
knowledge from online newsgroups and internet
marketers I meet online. I also keep up on new
information and trends on the internet by reading
internet news, as well as ebooks, tutorials and
articles. There is a wealth of information out
there. You just need to take the time to read it
and try to learn from it.

Q - What office equipment do you use?

A - My Hewlett Packard computer, scanner and
printer.

Q - Do you do all of your business online?

A - Absolutely! I hate talking in front of people
I don't know and I don't really like talking to
people I don't know on the phone. Certainly if a
customer requests a call, I will be more than
happy to do that.

Q - What are your biggest gripes about the
Internet?

A - "Internet Gurus" who charge an arm and a leg
for a product or service. I am amazed by some of
the prices I see on the internet. I believe in
giving back to the internet community and I am
always trying to find ways to help "the little
guy" build a successful business online. I
definately believe in making money online,
however, sometimes I think online business owners
could be a bit more realistic.

Q - Are there any tips or advice you would like to
offer?

A - Don't ever give up! If you have dreams and
determination, you will succeed online.

Q - Do you use any clip art in your publications?

A - I don't care for your typical clipart or
icons. I love photographs. Photos look so much
more professional.

Q - Are people more interesting than product
stories?

A - Definately! I always like to know who I am
buying a product or service from. And people are
much more fascinating. I always learn more from
talking to a person than reading an article or
book.

Q - What are your goals and aspirations for the
future?

A - I hope I can continue to help people build
their own business, through my own unique, low
cost products and services. I would like to earn a
full-time living on the internet some day,
however, I only want to do that if I can get there
by being honest and respectful.

Q - What software do you use to make your
websites?

A - I make all of my own website graphics with
Paint Shop Pro. Other then that, I write all of
my own websites in html.

Q - What are your favorite books or computer
programs?

A - I read a lot of ebooks. My favorite ebooks
currently are listed at my website, Advertising
Exposure. I don't really use a lot of other
computer programs.

Q - What is your best time for working on your
computer?

A - During the evening hours. It is quiet and
gives me a sense of satisfaction.
